Answer 1: Wilcom's long standing industry champion software ES was replaced with a new generation platform called Embroidery Studio. Embroidery Studio integrates CorelDraw and takes Wilcom one step closer to being a complete decorated apparel program. The new version has significant improvements, compared to v2006 and it presents a fundamental new appraoch based on the successful DecoStudio e1.0 product making CorelDraw X4 a integral part of the embroidery software at all levels.

ES has been tested under those circumstances successfully, however, machine connections have not been tested under that scenario and embroidery disks (floppy disks) have not been tested either. Non-DOS embroidery disks Since the embroidery industry was one of the first to make use of computers and before DOS was the accepted disk format, there are many 'non-DOS' formats still in common use within the embroidery industry. These non-DOS embroidery formats e.g. Barudan FDR, Melco, format the floppy disk differently and cannot be read as 'DOS-formatted' disks and must be read as their own format e.g. the same way as an Apple MAC Operating system is required to read a MAC-formatted disk.
